SECURAWALL MAILFLOW
Outage and recovery validation
An anonymized summary of the controlled SecuraWall test route.
Controlled test route · 14–15 October 2026
This is an operator-run validation scenario, not an independent benchmark or a customer endorsement. The receiving route included an intermediary mail gateway and a Carbonio CE mailbox server. No customer identities or message contents are published.
| Step | Recorded outcome |
|---|---|
| Destination outage | A controlled unreachable delivery port caused an accepted test message to remain deferred with a connection timeout. |
| Destination recovery | After the valid destination route was restored, the operator reported receipt of the queued test message. |
| Protected receiving | Controlled tests observed unknown-recipient rejection, malware rejection before queue acceptance and spam quarantine. |
| Quarantine release | A held synthetic message was released; the journal recorded destination SMTP acceptance and the operator confirmed receipt. |
| Personal quota overflow | In a shared-quota test for a primary address and its aliases, messages over the personal quota remained held for IT review and were hidden from the mailbox user. After space was freed, new messages could use the available quota. |
These checks validate the described test conditions only. They do not establish a general delivery guarantee, application failover, independent detection rate or 500-user full-stack capacity.
